Trafficked children given a home

With your help, Kyampisi Childcare Ministries (KCM) is about to care for more than 12 trafficked children who have been rescued.

These children, aged 4 to 12 years old, were trafficked across Uganda by a terrorist group looking for child soldiers to fight in armed conflict.

The Ugandan Government has asked KCM to support these children until they are reunited with their families because there is nowhere else for them to go. KCM will give them a place to sleep, food, clothing, and emotional support.

Over the last two years, rescuing and supporting trafficked children has become a growing need in Uganda. This is the third time the Ugandan Government has come to KCM, asking for help to care for a large group of rescued trafficked children. Most recently, you helped care for 126 children who were rescued last year.

It can be challenging for KCM to provide this kind of support, especially when such large groups of children need protection at the same time. But it’s vital for these children to receive thorough emotional and physical care after such traumatic experiences.

Thank you for equipping KCM to care for these children!
