“When I started school at New Seasons I didn’t know how to read and write but now I can.”

Don’t these words from 12-year-old Mugoya Joshua Praise just make your heart sing!

Joshua goes to New Seasons Nursery and Primary School in Nateete and has overcome much hardship to become literate.

He lives with his single mother whilst his dad is suffering from advanced stage cancer. His mother is unemployed and lives in the church. Joshua and his mum only survive through the direct support of our partner Haggai, which has been a financial struggle for Haggai as he’s trying to look after his own family.

It’s heartening though when you hear that Joshua loves going to school and his dream is to become a pilot. This seems to make all the sacrifices worth it!

You can help more children like Joshua. Give today!
